Abstract

772,117. Transistor amplifier supply circuits. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. July 21, 1955 [July 24, 1954], No. 21150/55. Class 40(6) In a transistor amplifier having a low resistance input 5, the supply 2 is applied to a potential divider 3, 4 the diode 3 being operated in the pass direction to feed the base of transistor 1. An increase in temperature causes the potential drop across diode 3 to fall so that the forward bias on transistor 1 is reduced to off-set the rise in collector current which would otherwise occur. The circuit may be applied to a push-pull arrangement (Fig. 3, not shown). The diode 3 may be shunted by a resistor when the compensating effect is. too great. The divider 3, 4 may feed a series of transistors.
