[Also in Groups II and VI] A motor-driven domestic appliance for culinary use, such as for mincing, pulverizing and kneading, comprises a portable hollow frame 2, Fig. 1, of insulating material which locates an electric motor 3 having coupled thereto a downwardly-depending shaft 4 upon the end of which is adapted to be attached, say, a threebladed cutter 5, the said shaft being located within a protective tube 7 projecting from the frame 2 and terminating in a concave-convex disc 9 having peripheral blades 8 extending parallel to the axis of the shaft. The utensil 5 is preferably secured to the shaft 4 by means of a bayonet joint, not shown, and packing is compressed between the shaft and a bushing 9a of the disc 9. The blades 8, Fig. 3, have faces in planes parallel to the axis of the shaft 4 and equidistant from this axis ; moreover each blade face, the edges of which are at unequal distances from the shaft axis, is adapted to be disposed at an angle A of from 10 to 45 degrees to a plane P through the axis, the direction of inclination of the blades depending upon the direction of rotation, arrow f, of the utensil.
