Abstract

770,652. Bobbins. ELECTROLUX, Ltd. Jan. 29, 1954 [July 27, 1953], No. 2711/54. Class 120 (3). [Also in Group XXVIII] As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, a frame 22 on which electric cable may be wound is attached to the rear end 13 of a vacuum cleaner 10 by means of a threaded portion 24 which screws into internal threads in the exhaust opening 17. In a modification, the frame is replaced by a funnel like member of sheet metal. In another modification, Fig. 6, a metal or plastic winding frame 25b, 26b is employed. The end of the cable may be held by a clip 33 of metal or plastic material mounted thereon and engaged with one of the previously wound turns 42 of the cable. The frame may be integral with a metal plate 16 on the rear cover 13 which may be of plastic material. The threads would be formed in the exhaust opening within the frame. The threads may be replaced by a fastening member of another kind. The frame may consist of a hollow member substantially in the shape of a truncated cone or pyramid or similar body having an outward concave supporting surface.
