Class 124 [Also in Group XXI] A rock drilling machine comprises a trolley on which are mounted one or more drills of large diameter and surrounding them a plurality of drills of smaller diameter, the speed of drilling being such that all the holes are completed at the same time. As shown a drill 18 of reatively large diameter, e.g. 8 inches, is mounted centrally on a trolley 3 which may, be clamped to rails 2, and a number of smaller drills 11, 12 are carried on bracket members 5a, 5b mounted on the trolley for pivotal movement about axes parallel to the longitudinal axis of the trolley. The central drill may be angularly and vertically adjustable and the small drills may also be adjusted parallel to the central drill whether the latter is adjusted angularly to the centre line of the trolley or not. The trolley may also carry a device, e.g. a light and template to indicate the position of the holes.
