Abstract

767,737. Heald frames for looms. LUND & SON, Ltd., T. June 3, 1955 [May 31, 1954], No. 15997/54. Class 142 (2). A slider bar 11 is retained at each end in a heald frame by a spring- loaded or screw operated catch 17 engaging a recess in the bar. The frame comprises light alloy top and bottom bars 1 of hollow form, or having hollow ends, and side members 7 of wood or moulded plastic material. Metal corner pieces 8 are secured, to the side members and have projections 10 engaging the ends of the bars 1. The members 17 may be mounted in the side members when separate corner pieces are not provided. The edges of the bars 1 have T-shaped rails formed thereon to engage harness hooks and slide hooks 6 supporting the bars 11. Each slide 6 is formed of a single strip of metal with a hook formed at each end which are brought side-by-side and welded together at the centre of the slide. Claws 6d engage the bar 1.
