766,195. Locking bolt-like pins; stud-andsocket fastenings. UNITED - CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. Nov. 25, 1954 [Dec. 21, 1953], No. 34252/54. Classes 44 and 89(1). A device for securing a plain stud 12 projecting through a panel opening 18, comprises a domed cap 20 having its periphery 34 turned inwards to engage a plate 32 which is formed with a central stud-engaging opening 30. Radial slots extend from the opening, and the arms 28 formed thereby are dished inwards of the cap. Feet 36 extend from the plate and, when the device is applied to the stud, are compressed to urge the device away from the panel and thereby urge the stud head 14 against the panel. The stud head may constitute a nameplate or ornament and may be made of die-cast metal or synthetic-plastic-material.
