Abstract

765,721. Mechanised figure toys. SCHMID, M. March 4, 1955 [March 4, 1954], No. 6516/55. Class 132(3). A toy represents a trapezist performing on a bar and consists of a figure f supported by its arms which are secured to a bar e rotatable about its own axis by means of gears m, l. The latter, a pinion, is secured to an arm d<SP>2</SP> rotatable via further gears k, i, by an endless drive contained in one of supports b<SP>1</SP>, b2 and operable by a crank r which automatically moves to disengaged position when released. The drive also rotates a main suspension bar c about which arms d<SP>1</SP>, d<SP>2</SP> and the figure rotate, the figure also rotating about the bar e. The arms and legs of the figure are pivoted to its body but movement may be restricted by nuts x provided on pivot pins v, w. Clockwork may be used to actuate the toy.
