Class 100(1) A device for intermittently feeding perforated strip material comprises a bed plate 1 for supporting the strip as it is advanced by a reciprocating slide plate 6 carrying pins 15 and 16 which engage slots 2 and 4 in the bed plate 1, means automatically operable on completion of backward movement of the slide plate 1 to urge. the slide plate into a position in which the pins protrude through the slots into engagement with perforations in the strip, and means automatically operable on completion of the forward movement of the slide plate to urge the slide plate into a position in which the pins are below the bed plate. The means for raising and lowering the slide plate may be leaf springs, not shown, bearing against the top and bottom of the slide plate which is provided with apertures 17 so arranged that at the forward and rearward positions of the slide plate the bottom and top leaf springs respectively engage such apertures and are thus rendered ineffective in turn. The downward and upward movements of the slide plate are, as shown, assisted by ramps 18 which ride over pins 19 on the forward stroke and under them during backward movement. The slide plate is reciprocated by an adjustable link 9 connected through ball races 10 with an eccentric 11 on. a shaft 12 rotated in synchronism with the movement of a punch, not shown. The strip is guided between guides 20 and pressed down by a hinged weighted plate 21.
