Fixed tothe cross shaft 36 which carries the rear levers 3| is a sheave 43 about which is wound one end of a cable 44 and to which that end is secured (see Fig. 5); A bell crank treadle 45 is pivoted upon a'stud 46 carried by a bracket 41 attached to the under side of the table l2.
The other end of the cable 44 is secured to the upper end of the treadle 45 and the lower end of the treadle is provided with a foot plate 48. The platen 30 can obviously be reciprocated by means of the handle 42 or the foot plate 48. i
The ink supply means 50 includes a table 5| rigidly supported'on legs 52 carried by the base frame I I and an endless belt 53 movable over the table and carried by rollers 54 and 55 at the front and rear edges of the table and a roller 56 supported below the table. Ink is supplied to the belt 53 from a pan 51 by a fountain roll 58. The roll 58; is carried byspring arms 59 and yieldably held in contactwith the belt 53 .as it passesunder the roller 56.
The roller 55 is supported-at its ends by hangers 60 adjustable in length toper'mit varying the height of the roller 56 as desired. The roller 55 may also be adjusted, beingcarried in arms 6| secured to the under side of the table 5| by set screws 62 which extendthrough slots 63 in the I table.
