763,736. Glass or like doors for electric toasters. HOTPOINT ELECTRIC APPLIANCE CO., Ltd. March 10, 1955 [March 10, 1954], No. 6996/54. Class 28(1) [Also in Group X] A glass or other plate 4 is retained in the door frame of a toaster or the like by face to face engagement with one part of an L-section member 5 having at least one keyhole slot or projection to engage at least one projection or keyhole slot on a flange at or near the outer edge of one side of the frame. As shown, the frame has an inturned portion 2 to support the plate and an upstanding flange 3 which is enlarged at one side to carry projections 6 having enlarged heads 7 whereby the member 5, with keyhole slots 9, may be mounted on the frame to hold the plate in position, the other end of the plate having previously been inserted under a retaining member at the opposite end of the frame. A portion 12 may be provided to facilitate gripping the member 5 while moving it into position.
