763,033. Reversible disc ploughs. ETABLISSEMENTS A. BOURGUIGNON. Aug. 16, 1954 [Nov. 25, 1953], No. 23719/54. Class 6(1). A reversible disc plough wherein each disc carrier is pivoted about a vertical axis comprises for each disc a double scraper which is mounted on the disc carrier in such a manner that it may be tilted to bring one of its scraping edges in contact with the working face of the disc whenever the plough is reversed. The mounting of the scraper 12 on the disc carrier 1 comprises a spherical head 10 at the lower end of an adjustable and substantially vertical rod 8 which is held by means of nuts 9 in a horizontal lug 1. The head 10 is seated on a hole 11 in the lower arm of a U-shaped stirrup 11 which is integral with the scraper, the rod 8 passing through a slot 11b in the upper arm of the stirrup. This arrangement limits the movement of the head 10 in the stirrup, which in turn governs the axes of rotation associated with the scraper, the latter being such that the reaction of the soil upon the scraper maintains the scraper in contact with the disc 6 and causes it to be suitably readjusted when the disc's direction of rotation is reversed.
