Abstract
762,392. Lampcaps and holders. ALDEN, M. March 23, 1954, No. 8435/54. Class 38 (1). [Also in Group XI] An electrical indicator comprises an insulating socket 10 and an insert 35 of a translucent plastic in which is embedded a lamp L, one terminal of which is connected to a fuse contact 40 and to a threaded metal sleeve 36 and the other to a contact ring 48. A fuse is connected between contact 40 and a contact 28 in the socket, the arrangement being such that the lamp L lights up when the fuse blows, the circuit is parallel with the fuse being as follows: a soldering lug 30, a resistor R, a contact ring 46 in the socket 10, ring 48, lamp L, sleeve 36, sleeve 34 and a further sodering lug 32. In another embodiment, Fig. 7, an insert 60 and socket 61 are screwed together, one terminal 70 of the lamp bearing against a contact 78 on a spring plunger 77 while the other is connected to a contact ring 67 which co-operates with a ring 74 on the socket.
