Abstract

Mono-azo dyes are prepared by coupling diazotized aniline, metanilic acid, sulphanilic acid, anthranilic acid, p-anisidine, p-toluidine, p-chloraniline, or p-amino benzene sulphonamide with acetyl acetone. The preparation of the dyes from diazotized metanilic, sulphanilic, and anthranilic acids is described. Specifications 598,675 [Group IV] and 655,273 [Group XX] are referred to.
