Abstract

761,651. Wrapping-machines. ORMEAU BAKERY Ltd., and ELDRIDGE, F. J. April 24, 1952 [April 30, 1951], No. 10030/51. Class 94(1). Wrapped loaves are moved from a wrapping station to a discharge station by a reciprocating crosshead 5 carrying two pairs of downwardlyextending arms 11, 12 and 16 between which each loaf is received. The arms 16 are pivoted on a pin 18 so that they may ride over a loaf on the rearward stroke of the crosshead and their rearward movement is limited by a stop 17 so that they act as pushers on the forward stroke of the crosshead. The bar 14 carrying the pivot 18 is adjustably secured to the crosshead so that the spacing between the pairs of arms may be varied to suit loaves of different sizes. The crosshead is carried by rods 1, 2 secured at their ends to members slidable in side frames of the machine and is reciprocated by camoperated arms, see Fig. 3 (not shown).
