Abstract
761,373. Conductors. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Sept. 21, 1953 [Sept. 20, 1952], No. 26019/53. Drawings to Specification. Class 36. A copper or copper-coated conductor is provided with a firmly bonded film of anodic black copper oxide over which is applied a firmly bonded insulating sheath of resinous material. The film of copper oxide preferably has a weight of about 1.5 to 2.5 milligrams per sq. cm. of conductor surface and is applied to the conductor as described in Specification 761,372. Suitable resinous insulating coverings are organopolysiloxanes, polyfluorocarbons, polyvinyl acetals, polyamides, polyesters, polyvinyl and alkyd resins.
