761,259. Weighing-apparatus. FLEMING, J. Dec. 30, 1954 [Jan. 5, 1954; May 25, 1954], Nos. 215/54 and 15405/54. Class 143. Livestock weighing apparatus comprises a cage 1, hanging from a spring balance 5, in an inverted U-shaped framework 2, 3. The cage is guided by a pair of lateral parallel links 9 beneath it and a single such link 8 above it, the links being pivoted-to the cage and by rods 10 and 13 to the framework. A handle 6, releasably fixed by a fastener 20, turns a rod 4 to operate the balance. A bar (not shown), fixed to rod 10 and extending laterally over the cage, carries a weight whose position may be adjusted to tare the apparatus.
