Class 97(1) In a spectacle frame of the type in which two coverings 4 carry the side arms 5 and metal lens rims 1 are connected by a metal bridge, a free tongue 6 extends from the bridge over each covering and anchors the inner end of the covering. Preferably, the tongues 6 fit into short grooves in plastic or anodized aluminium coverings 4 and the bridge may consist of two stainless steel wires 2, 3 joined at the centre, or a single strip, the ends of the upper wire 2 or of the strip forming the tongues 6.
