Abstract

A cleansing appliance comprises a viscose-bonded cellulose-fibre fabric impregnated with a surface-active agent. The latter may be non-ionic, anionic or cationic, specified agents being polyethylene glycol mono - oleate, triethanolamine lauryl sulphate and the cationic surface-active agent sold under the Registered Trade Mark "Gemex". The impregnating solution may also include ethylene glycol or glycerol and a small proportion of a lubricant, e.g. silicone oil or octyl stearate. The impregnated fabric may be folded into a pad. The appliance is particularly useful for dusting gramophone records of the microgroove type and other articles made from plastic materials. According to the Provisional Specification the cellulose-fibre fabric may be paper.ALSO:A cleansing appliance comprises a viscose-bonded cellulose-fibre fabric impregnated with a surface-active agent.
