Abstract
760,167. Two-part couplings combined with switches. TELEMECANIQUE ELECTRIQUE June 17, 1954 [Sept. 17, 1953], No. 17865/54,. Class 38 (1). To permit removal of apparatus such as an ammeter A connected in series in. a power circuit between terminals B, B<SP>1</SP>, without interrupting said circuit, the terminals b, b<SP>1</SP> of the ammeter are adapted to engage spring plungers 6, 7 and to hold them depressed when the ammeter is in its operative position so that the circuit is from terminal B through a bar 2 and lead 9 to plunger 7, thence through the ammeter to plunger 6 and through a lead 10 and a bar 3 to terminal B<SP>1</SP>. On removal of the ammeter the plungers are released and portions 6b, 7b thereof engage bars 2, 3 and short-circuit terminals B, B<SP>1</SP> through leads 9, 10. The short-circuit is removed on replacement of the ammeter which depresses the plungers.
