Abstract

759,561. Display cartons. BROWNE & CO. (NOTTINGHAM), Ltd., T. and McKay, R. June 1, 1955 [June 3, 1954], No. 16405/54. Class 3(2) A paper or cardboard blank shaped as shown in Fig. 1 is provided with slots 20, 21, 22, and score lines, as indicated in broken lines, in order to form the icecream display carton of Fig. 2, the members 17, 19 representing a spoon and the lid of the carton respectively. In erecting the carton, the flaps 12, 13 are fed through the slot 21 and the slots 20, 22 respectively to enable the carton to be pinned, stapled or glued in position. The base 15 may be provided with a tongue for engaging a slot formed in the portion 9. The display unit may take the form of a box likewise provided with securing flaps (see Figs. 3 and 4, not shown). The display unit may represent or receive a product to be displayed.
