757,000. Mixing machines; doors. FORDATH ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. June 13, 1955 [July 9, 1954], No. 20106/54. Class 86. In mixing apparatus comprising a cylindrical container 10 in which a rotatable stirrer is disposed, a door 12 is provided in the base of the container and has a spring-loaded scraper 17 on a face which co-operates with the container. The door is sector-shaped and is pivotally mounted on a pin 15 so that it may be swung into its closed or open position by an operating handle 6. The scraper 17 comprises a rectangular block 18 attached to guide stems 20 located in bores 21 in the trailing edge of the door. Springs 22 in the bores 21 press the block 18 into engagement with the co-operating face of the container 11. A resilient washer 23 is located between the block 18 and door 12. The door is provided with a limit stop 17 and spring-loaded latch 25. Specification 531,536 is referred to.
