Abstract
756,369. Dynamo-electric machines. WOOD & CO., Ltd., H. Oct. 11, 1954 [Oct. 9, 1953], No. 27804/53. Class 35. [Also in Group XXXVI] An adaptor 2 for connection between a flameproof socket 14 or other cable connection and the casing 3 of a motor, of for example a conveyer, comprises a casing 5, Fig. 3, having inlet and outlet and openings 14a, 10, for the motor leads and a lateral outlet 6 containing a socket 24 for a connector on a cable 20 leading to auxiliary apparatus, such as a braking solenoid. The casing contains a small automatic circuit-breaker 9 connected in the leads to outlet 6, which leads are tapped off the motor leads. Outlet 6 may also carry a gland 26, or plug or socket connector, for a remote control cable. Specification 543,413, [Group XXXVI], is referred to.
