Abstract

Trace elements are incorporated in fertilizers as pure metal in the form of powder, small pieces or granules obtained by melting down scrap or waste metal containing the trace elements desired, removing ballast materials or impurities from the metal bath and converting the pure metal to the desired form, for example by blowing, centrifuging or granulating. Reference is made to the incorporation of Cu, Zn, Mg, Si, Fe, Sn, Ni, Al, Co, Mn, Cr, Mo, W, V, Ti and P obtained from a melted scrap mixture, in ammonium-containing fertilizers, for example, ammonium sulphate.
