Abstract
755,089. Batteries. LE GROS, J. E. Oct. 28, 1954, No. 31210/54. Class 53. A lead-acid accumulator plate 1 is provided with a coating of individual synthetic plastic fibres 3 which adhere to each other and the plate at the points of contact. The fibres may be applied by spraying a solution of a synthetic plastic for example a solution of a copolymer of vinylidene chloride and acrylonitrile which due to evaporation of the solvent emerges in the form of long fibres. The fibre layers may serve as separators between adjacent plates.
