Abstract

755,009. Packing photographic flash lamps. KODAK, Ltd. June 24,1954 [June 24, 1953], No. 33715/55. Divided out of 754,975. Class 9(2) A carton or clip to contain flash lamps for use in apparatus as described in Specification 754,975 has an opening in the front wall 1 through which the lamps L may be pushed by a plunger entering ah aligned opening 13 in, the rear wall 2. The exit opening is closed by a frangible seal broken when a lamp L is forced against it. The bulbs are inserted in the carton through an opening closed by a hinged flap 5 provided with a tab 7 which is inserted in a slot in the wall 1 after the box is filled. An openended slot 11 is adapted to receive a presser of the apparatus .described in the Specification 754.975 so that in use the bulbs are urged downwardly. The carton may have symmetrically placed openings with. frangible seals at both ends, so that the carton may be placed either end up in the apparatus. The frangible seal may be produced by weakening the wall 1 as in Fig. 4 by slots 14, 15, 16 and scoring 18 so that a flap 19 held by two tabs 17 is formed, the tabs being broken when a lamp is pushed out, Fig. 5.
