Abstract

Stable preparations of or containing acetylsalicylic acid have incorporated therein from 0,5 to 10,0 per cent, by weight of the acetylsalicylic acid, of one or more non-toxic buffer salts containing acid phosphate radicals e.g. monosodium, mono-ammonium or mono-potassium dihydrogen phosphate. The preparation, which may take the form of a powder or tablet, has a pH in aqueous solution of from 3,0 to 6,5 and may contain other medicinal substances such as phenacetin, caffeine, codeine or salts thereof.
