Abstract
753,275. Rotary compressor. SOC ANON. A. SAURER. May 19, 1954 [Oct. 24, 1953], No. 14722/54. Class 110(2) A compressor of the meshing screw type similar to that in Specification 753,772 [Group XIX], in which the trailing edge 21 of the crown of each tooth 13 of the female rotor 11 is advanced with respect to the rotor 11 by a flattening 25. This advance a is between 20 per cent and 35 per cent of the length b of the remaining cylindrical crown. The flattening 25 is approximately perpendicular to the centre line M of the adjacent tooth gap and the angle # at the edge 21 between the flattening 25 and the crown is obtuse. In place of the flattening 25 an arc of a circle radius R may he used.
