Abstract

752,359. Lathe details. WALDRICH, O. Feb. 9, 1954 [Feb. 10, 1953], No. 3843/54. Class 83 (3). A heavy lathe, particularly for roll-turning has, opposite the tool-rest 14, slides 6, 7, which are movable longitudinally and transversely respectively, and carry adjustable steady-rollers 11, 12 engaging the work 9 on the same peripheral track, the slides being clamped after being adjusted to give the desired pressure of the steady-rollers. The slides 7 can be adjusted hydraulically on the slides 6, the pressure of the hydraulic supply being indicated by a gauge 13. The rollers 11, 12 may be driven, the roller 11 being mounted on an adjustable rocker 10. Steady-rollers may be arranged at each side of the region of cut. Specification 714,456 is referred to.
