Abstract
751,685. Posts. MASTS, Ltd. July 28, 1954, No. 22096/54. Class 20(1). A hollow tubular pole comprises a plurality of sections of which at least two are tapering and the larger tapering end of at least one tapering section extends into the smaller tapering end of the adjacent section and the two ends are secured together by a joint tortuous formation. As shown, a lamp standard comprises a cylindrical section A extending into the upper smaller end of tapering section B whose lower larger end extends into the upper end of the double conical section C. Section C has a door through which the electrical fittings are accessible. Section A may telescope into section B.
