Abstract
A thermosetting moulding powder is prepared by mixing with a filler, e.g. a -cellulose, wood flour and regenerated cellulose, a resinous condensation product of an aldehyde with urea or an aminotriazine, e.g. melamine, in which powder there is also incorporated as a curing catalyst one or more of sebacic acid, di-ammonium sebacate and butyl hydrogen sebacate, preferably in a concentration of 0.1 to 10 per cent based on the dry resin. There may also be present as a catalyst retarder mono-, di- and/or triethanolamines. In examples, hexamine and zinc or aluminium stearate may also be present.
