Abstract
747,236. Pickling baths. SOC. DES USINES A TUBES DE LA SARRE. May 17, 1954 [July 22, 1953], No. 14462/54. Class 82(2). An acid pickling bath is heated indirectly by the circulation of hot fluid in contact with the bottom and/or sides of the pickling tank. The tank 7 is supplied with hot fluid down pipe 5 from a heat exchanger 1, supplied with gas and air from pipes 2 and 3, and circulated by a blower 4. The fluid is returned along a pipe 9. The tank bottom is sloped to allow easy drainage. Bars 12 are provided to protect the bottom against damage.
