Abstract

Sand-lime bricks are made wholly or in part from a mixture obtained by igniting and then grinding a naturally-occuring mixture of calcareous material with siliceous sand. Specified mixtures are sand or sandstone both containing shells. The bricks are steam hardened at 180 DEG C.
