744,106. Pulse discriminating circuits. CANADIAN GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. Oct. 1, 1953 [Oct. 1, 1952], No. 26956/53. Class 40 (6). In a circuit for producing an output pulse in response to a group of narrowly spaced pulses in a train of relatively widely spaced pulses, the group is first converted into a waveform having a flat region with small indentations, then passed to the first valve of a flip-flop circuit, the waveform being integrated at the anode of this valve and the flip-flop circuit operating when the anode voltage reaches a predetermined value. A pulse train comprising signal pulses P and a synchronizing signal consisting of three short pulses S1, S2, S3 is applied to a rectifier D1. having a load R3, C7 such that a pulse output Y is produced at the grid of a normally conducting valve V1. An integrating circuit R4, C8 in the anode circuit of the valve accordingly feeds a waveform C to the grid of valve V2. When the voltage reaches the level V valve V2 conducts producing an output pulse d which by virtue of the common anode load and regenerative action through capacitor C3 and rectifier D2 produces a voltage X which cuts off valve V1 so that the circuit is then insensitive to interference. The feedback rectifier prevents the input pulses being directly fed to the output terminals.
