Abstract

743,891. Plug cocks. TALBOT-STEAD TUBE CO., Ltd. Sept. 28, 1954 [Oct. 23, 1953], No. 29296/53. Class 135. A rotary conical plug cock in which the body is made from stainless steel tubing comprises a main portion a manipulated internally and externally to tapered form and having diametrically opposed openings b receiving pipe connections c welded to the body. A screwthreaded closure cap l is apertured to permit the passage of the cock handle and formed with a recess housing a polythene sealing ring s having lips u, t bearing on the body and plug respectively. A rib v on the underside of the cap prevents axial movement of the plug without reducing the effectiveness of the seal.
