Abstract

743,817. Vibratory mechanism. AKTIEBOLAGET VIBRO-VERKEN. Sept. 9, 1953 [Sept. 11, 1952], No. 24925/53. Class 80(4) In a rotary vibrator the shaft of a roller body serving as an eccentric mass is disposed within a hollow driving shaft and is geared thereto, the body being thereby rolled around a race coaxial with the driving shaft. As shown, a tubular shaft C driven by an electric motor 1 has at each end. a gear rim 13 which engages a pinion 12 on a roller shaft 11, the roller body comprising two discs 10 each rolling on a race A. A guide pin 14 at each end of the roller shaft engages a fixed pin 15 to maintain the gears 12, 13 in engagement. The motor 1 may be replaced by a pulley 17 or the like, the spacing of the discs 10 being then reduced and only one pinion 12 and gear rim 13 being provided.
