890,153. Road rollers. RICHIER S. A. April 21, 1958 [May 3, 1957 ; May 25, 1957], No. 10425/60. Divided out of 890,152. Class 6(1). A self propelled road roller with a vibrating cylinder 9 is characterized in that the drive to the cylinder includes a telescopic rotary shaft 14 incorporating universal joints or a belt drive 16. A gearbox 5 is driven from the roller motor and a reducing gear 10 which may be a belt or chain drive or a gear train is enclosed in a casing 6 which is attached to a bearing 11 of the cylinder 9.
