743,082. Securing discs on shafts. WOLF ELECTRIC TOOLS, Ltd. May 8,1953, No. 12900/53. Class 80(2) [Also in Group XXIII] An abrasive disc 11 is mounted on the driven shaft 10 of a grinding machine by an element 12 of resilient material, e.g. hardened or toughened rubber; incorporated in the element 12, e.g. during moulding, is a flange 14 of a member having a boss 13 threaded internally to cooperate with a thread on the shaft 10 and threaded externally to receive a flanged nut 15 projecting through a central aperture in the disc, so that the disc 11 is held between the element 12 and nut 15. The boss 13 may be formed without an external thread, the nut 15 then engaging the shaft 10; to permit this, the boss 13 is disposed on the side of the flange 14 remote from the disc 11.
