742,183. Agricultural implements. BROWN TRACTORS (ENGINEERING), Ltd., D. Nov. 16, 1953 [Nov. 14, 1952], No. 28709/52. Class 6 (1). A two - furrow plough is convertible into a threefurrow plough by' the addition of a conversion unit comprising a spacer member formed of two tubular members n<SP>1</SP>, n2 connected by stretcher plates n<SP>3</SP> and a beam a<SP>3</SP> carrying a plough body c<SP>3</SP> and coulter d<SP>3</SP>. When the conversion is made, the land-side p is removed from the near-side plough body c<SP>2</SP> and transferred to the plough body c<SP>3</SP>. The two-furrow plough comprises two beams a<SP>1</SP>, a<SP>2</SP> joined by a spacer b. A head-stock e is provided with a cross-shaft f attachable to a tractor three-link hitch, the upper link of the hitch being attached to the head-stock. A manually adjustable depth control wheel i is provided. Conversion units may be employed to build up complements for ploughing four or more furrows.
