740,668. Snow-ploughs. TORO MANUFACTURING CORPORATION OF MINNESOTA. Dec. 23,1953,No. 35820/53. Class 107. A snow-plough has a housing 5 with a tan. gential discharge 6 and adjustable deflector hood 8. The rotor has two opposed sets of helical blades 41, 42 feeding snow to a snowabutting and guiding wall 48 which deflects the snow into the discharge opening 6. The blades are arranged with an increasing width towards the middle of the rotor to provide the necessary increase of snow-engaging area to deal with the snow proceeding from the outer parts of the blades. The pitch of the blades decreases towards the rotor centre terminating in a flat snow-delivering surface.
