A method of printing on thin transparent material, such as cellulose acetate, comprises printing on sheets of a foil of the material, the sheets being fed into a printing press together with sheets of supporting material, such as paper or thin cardboard, or the same material as the sheet to be printed. The sheets may be connected together by pasting or gluing at one or more edges, or a large sheet may be folded in two so that half of it forms-the supporting sheet. The sheets may be severed from webs fed together to a common severing-device. The supporting sheet has the effect of neutralising static electricity generated in the foils. The invention is particularly applicable to the production of booklets comprising transparent sheets each containing part of a total pictorial representation, each sheet having a non- transparent partial representation, and the sheets being viewed in succession in space or time.
