739,532. Sharpening razors. LAIRD, T. H March 31, 1954, No. 9410/54. Class 60. A device for sharpening and/or stropping razors, particularly safety-razor blades, consists of a strip 1 of leather or other suitable material the surface of which is impregnated with an abrasive cream. The strip, which is provided with perforations 2 by means of a gill or a needle before the abrasive cream is rubbed into it, may be 3 or 4 inches long, <SP>3</SP>/ 8 to 1 inch wide, and <SP>3</SP>/ 16 inch thick. When leather is employed, the leather is preferably tanned and the cream applied to its smooth surface. The strip is mounted on a suitable support, such as a piece of wood.
