739,512. Tripod stands. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP MAATSCHAPPIJ VOOR METAALBEWERKING INDUSTRIA. Feb. 5, 1954, No. 3514/54. Class 52 (3). A stand comprising a tubular post 1, a sleeve 3 slidable on the post and having lugs 4 to which legs 5 are pivoted to swing about axes at right angles to the post and a locking sleeve 9 also slidable on the post is characterised in that bolts 10 secured to the locking sleeve and having their axes parallel to the post engage cylindrical grooves in the ends of the spread legs when the locking sleeve rests on the sleeve 3. The grooves are formed in plugs 7 secured to the legs which are released by sliding the locking sleeve up the post. The post sinks by gravity and the legs can be swung outwards and upwards to the position 51 and secured by a strap 12.
