Abstract

736,577. Scooters. SEBEL & CO., Ltd., D. Nov. 5, 1953, No. 30686/53. Classes 136(1) and 136(3). A scooter has a U-shaped member 6 journaled in brackets 7, 8 on the frame 2 of the scooter for movement from a first position in which the member 6 is adapted to actuate braking means for the scooter, to a second position in which the member 6 supports the scooter in an upright position, means being provided for releasably securing the member 6 in the first position. A sleeve 10 is secured to the member 6 by pins 11 and is urged into engagement with the bracket 7 by a spring 12. A braking member 13 extends from the sleeve 10. A V-shaped notch 15 is formed in the sleeve 10 to releasably engage a projection 16 in the bracket 7. When the members 7, 10 engage the brake is in the " off " position.
