Abstract
734,300. Lattice poles. PAINTER BROS., Ltd., and NOCK, J. L. Nov. 24, 1953 [Dec. 12, 1952], No. 31543/52. Class 20 (1). A metal lattice pole comprises two legs 1 spaced by transverse members and is of V formation at its base, the legs 1 being connected at their lower ends to a thrust member in the form of a metal plate 18, a second thrust member, which is either a baulk of timber or precast concrete, being fitted to one of the legs 1 near the top of the V part. The pole is constructed generally as in Specification 729,471, each leg 1 comprising two parallel tubular longitudinals 2 which are connected to the plate 18 by converging plates 19 welded at 21 to the longitudinals 2 and bolted at 22 to the plate 18, holes 23 in the plate 18 permitting the legs 1 to approach closely. The second thrust member is secured to the leg 1 by J-bolts.
