733,651. Threading-up thread-advancing rollers. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Aug. 19, 1953 [Oct. 20, 1952], No. 26239/52. Classes 120(2) and 120(3). A method of threading- up thread-advancing rollers 1, provided with grooves 3, with a continuously travelling tow &c., 6, comprises attaching the tow to an endless belt or chain 4 having a join consisting of a rigid offsetting bridge 5, which may be adjustable, of such a configuration that the belt or chain 4 lies in the grooves 3 of the rollers, the belt or chain being initially positioned at the feeding end of and surrounding the rollers and advancing, as the rollers rotate, to position the tow around them in a helical form.
