Abstract
730,235. Paper or like bags; collapsible tubes; closing bags. CELLOPHANE INVESTMENT CO., Ltd. Jan. 15, 1953 [Jan. 23, 1952], No. 1276/53. Class 66, 94 (1) and 94 (2). A flat bag, sachet, or the like, consisting of thermoplastic material, is formed from a tube heat-sealed at P, to form the bottom of the bag, and heat sealed at the top, but leaving a small unsealed portion A to provide an opening for filling the bag, with liquid, paste, powder or the like, which is then closed by folding over the bag along the line G Hand securing by means of a spring clip or adhesive, band.. By removing the fastening the opening is remade for dispensing part or all of the contents. The opening A B may be situated at one side of the top or may be diagonally on a corner. It may be funnel-shaped at each end to facilitate filling and emptying. The bag may be formed from two superimposed sheets .of material in which case the sealiug extends along the side margins.
