A freewheel friction clutch device, especially for magnetic sound recording apparatus, comprises a coupling element 6, freely rotatable on a driving shaft 2, having on one side a frictional surface and on the other a driving connection 7<SP>1</SP>, 9 to a freewheel member 7, shown as a helical spring, which can automatically couple itself to the driving shaft for one direction of rotation, and a further coupling element 11 also freely rotatable about the driving shaft independently of the coupling element 6 and having on one side a frictional surface facing the first-mentioned friction surface and on the other side means 15, &c., for adjusting the pressure exerted on a frictional member 13 interposed between the two frictional surfaces. The pressure adjusting means consists of a nut 15, spring 18 and slidable sleeve 17, the friction member 13 being a disc having holes in which corks 14 are inserted.
