725,543. Metal walls. ROBERTSON THAIN, Ltd. (Robertson Co., H. H.). Nov. 24, 1953, No. 32635/53. Class 20 (4). A quickly erected and dismantled sheet-metal wall panel structure comprises a number of units each of an inner sheet 12 secured to the building framework, and to the sheets of adjacent units by interengaging lips 20, 22, a body of insulation material against it, and a corrugated outer sheet 16 to the valleys of which are secured a number of spaced transverse lightweight channel sub-girts 33. At one end of each subgirt a slotted inwardly extending portion engages the inner sheet lip of an adjacent unit, a rounded tongue at the other end being inserted into the slot 40 of a sub-girt of an adjacent unit. A clip 50 hooked over a lip 22 extends through slot 40 and engages the upturned portion of the sub-girt, the complete joint as shown being fastened by a self-tapping screw 52. In erection, after the inner sheets are in position the sub-girts are secured to the lips and the outer sheets then connected to the sub-girts as by selftapping screws 54. The outer sheets of superposed units overlap and certain of the corrugations may be fastened by self-tapping screws.
