Abstract
724,990. Tamping &c. tools. LOSENHAUSENWERK DUSSELDORFER MASCHINENBAU AKT.-GES. April 8, 1953 [April 9, 1952], No. 9491/53. Class 124 In a vibrating apparatus for track-tamping, excavating, ramming and similar purposes, the implement 1 is connected by an unbalanced vibrator 2 and an elastic link 4 to a carrier 5 with handles 6, 6<SP>1</SP>, the axis of the link 4 being parallel to the axis of rotation 3 of the vibrator 2, and the latter axis preferably being parallel to the plane of a flat implement. By this means horizontal vibrations are dissipated and only vertical vibrations are transmitted to the implement and to the handles, the latter vibrations being absorbed by connecting the handles to the carrier by means of resilient side bars 7, 7', and vibrationdampening connectors 11, 11'. The carrier may be fork-shaped and adjustably secured to the journals of the link which may be formed by a soft rubber body vulcanized to two metal parts.
