Abstract
723,498. Resistance measurement. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and WILLIAMS, C. E. Oct. 29, 1953 [Oct. 31, 1952], No. 27474/52. Class 37. An assembly comprising outer and inner electrodes is used in testing a conductive surface for uniformity of resistivity. In Fig. 1 a conductive surface 1 is explored as coaxial electrodes 2, 5 are moved into contact with different test areas 6 and the current meter 4 indicates the degree of uniformity. The conductive surface 1 may be a conductive coating on a glass support. The electrodes 2, 5 are copper foils secured by adhesive to a rubber disc 11, Fig. 2, on the end face 9 of cylindrical holder 7. The electrodes may be curved for contact with curved conductive surfaces.
